Special overnight at the Straw-Hotel,
"Sleeping in straw, that's something from the past?"
Yes that's right! And many, many guests have also discovered how wonderful and comfortable a bed of straw can be. Sleeping in straw in our Straw-Hotel is nostalgic, comfortable and special! The bed springs and shines a little, forms to your body, gives warmth in the winter and in high summer temperatures just a little cooling.
The Straw Hotel has differend accomodations: three straw-igloos, a unique straw-Castle and the hayloft (for groups). Would you rather not have straw in your bed ?! Then come to sleep in one of the 4 unique Western covered wagons.
Eco-tourism includes:
- travel to areas where you can still be truly surprised by silence, space, clean air, pitch-dark nights with bright stars, heavenly sunrises and sunsets;
- an eye for nature, the landscape, villages, ways of life, and an eye for each other is more important than the mobile phone
For Hayema Heerd:
- we work with straw. Straw is a very useful residual product, with unique qualities for new applications.
- we pay close attention to our energy and water consumption, so that we have to use less every year
- we are a regular customer of our local farmers and neighbors for cheese, meat, dairy, vegetables and fruit
- we allow our guests to experience in a unique way how 'back-to-basic' can be beneficial and luxurious.
The Hayema Heerd team consists of highly motivated people who dare to dream and play. The youngest employee is 15, the oldest is 68 years old. Some employees were long-term dependent on unemployment benefits. We were able to offer them a suitable working environment, and they are doing very well.
Sleeping in the covered wagon is possible from € 88.00 for two people Sleeping in the straw is from € 90.00 for two people We use a group rate for groups.
