Commitments in sustainable tourism

Hors Circuit means out of the beaten tracks and that is what we want to encourage through our travel agency in Morocco : so close to the nature and the local people as possible. Our accommodation is also traditional and respectful of this philosophy of sustainable tourism that we have been practicing since 2005 without ever being able to stick this particular label! Better acts than labels or commitments, right?
Since 2020, we have launched a vast campaign to raise awareness of sustainable tourism in Morocco, both for European travelers and for the local Moroccan population, through our group FB Tourisme Durable au Maroc, which is not only a publication page of beautiful photos but above all a meeting place for small players in sustainable tourism who often still ignore they are !
For the rest, we do not necessarily plan to restrict access to the desert by 4x4, but we strongly encourage travelers to flee tourist centers, to take the time, to opt for soft local modes of transport. We are continuing to operate our accommodation as it has been for fifteen years: a minimum of impact on the environment, actions to clean up and beautify the landscape, thoughtful solidarity actions towards the local population with the help of my Berber family-in-law and other Moroccan friends, to identify effective and lasting measures.
Join us: there is so much to do in Morocco, where the local population has not yet integrated waste collection, the preservation of architectural heritage and so much more which are now common and legislated in Europe.
