We are a Sustainable Community Tourism project offering visitors an authentic experience of the Dominican countryside. We work closely within our community to provide support, resources, education and employment with the support of government organizations like MITUR, TCS, INFOTEP and JICA. Our goal is to maintain a holistic approach to the entire tourism experience. We address ecological, social, and environmental issues that not only enhance the experience of tourists, but also the needs of our host communities.
Guests may stay overnight or purchase day passes and enjoy our cascade pools, farm to table local cooking, as well as our expansive gardens. We boasts over 200 varieties of tropical fruit trees, as well as hundred of orchids and other exotics. We practice regenerative agriculture and permaculture and specialize in local medicinal plants. El Gallo is located 15 minutes from Puerto Plata on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.
