Le Flâneur is your guesthouse in the Guillotière district in the heart of the 7th arrondissement of Lyon!
Le Flâneur is a real alternative to classic hotels and BnBs. A unique and lovingly crafted setting for your nights in Lyon, whether you are staying 1 night or 3 weeks, for holidays or work, for the Festival of Lights or just to visit our good old Lugdunum!
Le Flâneur guesthouse is a Cooperative and Participative Society, the first youth hostel created with this type of shared governance. Decisions are shared, everything is discussed and debated: from the management of the dormitories to the creation of events, to the choice of tea you can drink at our bar. Here, there are no dividends, no outside shareholders, just passionate people who want you to discover a place and live this participative guesthouse experience.
Why a guesthouse?
The Flâneur Guesthouse is more than a youth hostel, more than an accommodation solution.
Beyond having a good big sleep at home, the Flâneur was conceived as a place to meet and live. 6 years of life and experience have shaped the guesthouse as it is today. We work with cultural and social partners, very often with people who live in the neighbourhood. Rather than looking for something to do at noon, we have decided to focus on creating links rather than simply providing a service. To do this, our 160m² communal space includes: a bar to welcome you, work spaces, a fitted and open kitchen... Events that mix local initiatives and backpackers, locals who come to enjoy our inner courtyard and chat with passing workers.
As for transport, we are on the B and D metro lines between Part-Dieu and Jean Macé stations and on the T1 tram line to Perrache... All roads lead to Le Flafla!
