There is no lack of projects and ideas. Cubans are surprisingly creative. But life remains extremely difficult for the majority of the population.
This approach is also part of the commitment we want to make to sustainable tourism.
The ambitious objective towards which we want to aim in the long term is to offset 100% of our carbon emissions. Moreover, it is important to think of the sustainable tourism approach in accordance with the economic and social environment of the country.
At the same time, our professional partners are increasingly adopting the same approach, and are submitting charters to us that commit us to respecting numerous rules in order to meet travelers' appetite for more responsible tourism. Indeed, various studies indicate that the French are more and more aware and are even ready to pay more for their travel in order to travel in a responsible and environmentally friendly way. But we know that there is a gap between the will to buy and the actual consumption of ecological and responsible products. The clientele is certainly enthusiastic and for many ready to make the bet of sustainable development, nevertheless it does not wish to be manipulated (Greenwashing), nor to give up its vacation habits.
Thus, R-Evolution Voyages has decided to take charge of an important part of the compensation per passenger.
We want to mark our commitment and at the same time respond to the voluntary approach of our professional clients and their customers, the travelers, to contribute to a shared "collective" effort, because it is the responsibility of all actors.
In order to raise awareness and train our teams, it is important to take up the subject by knowing what we are talking about around a concrete project. To simplify the discourse and to raise awareness in a way that is different from the ethical charter of the traveler that appears on an A4 page at the end of the travel log.
