The small chain of Bolivian hotels Tayka ensures that community members cease to be part of the landscape and become players in their own development.

Each community association receives a share of the revenue generated by the hotel. Each tourist contributes one dollar to a project that benefits the community. This contribution has been used to improve roads, create sewage systems or provide a voucher for the elderly.

At Tayka, the communities are not simply the beneficiaries of a project, they are the owners of the hotel.
