All the staff of Walk Japan has a strong relationship with Japan, coming from a great passion and many commitments to the country and its people. We are also fully aware of the need for a sustainable and responsible development of tourism in Japan and we contribute to it with enthusiasm. One way we contribute is by working with local businesses, which we have been doing for over 25 years, thus providing a stable source of income for small restaurants and family-run inns in the Japanese countryside. We also work in partnership with them to help them develop their properties and businesses in line with the ever-increasing expectations of our clients. We have become the primary client of some of the more remote accommodations we visit. We are proud that at least one historic hostel, the only one left among the surrounding hostels, has managed to stay in business thanks to our patronage. Although we are still their primary customer today, this hostel is thriving again, attracting other customers, and has become the heart of its local community. Not only has the current owner, the 14th generation, decided to continue the business, but he has also invested in improving the premises, all in a way that respects the age and authenticity of the building.
